My name is Ellie Dawes and in December 2010 I made a New Year's resolution that in 2011 I would see 52 plays.
On this blog I have been writing posts about the plays I have been to see, to keep a record and recommend to others which are worth seeing. Sometimes I'll write a full review, sometimes it is a stream of consciousness about the themes in the play and other times I'll only have time for a couple of hastily posted paragraphs!
I'd really like to hear suggestions about what theatre to see, particularly in and around London, please comment and let me know if you have seen something great.
I love to see anything from West End musicals, to the most surreal performance art. I also love both professional and good quality amateur productions. My pet interest is in language and text so if a play does something clever or beautiful with the English language you can bet that I'll be all over it like a damp flannel.
